(the) CORONA JOURNAL
The virus is out and so I am back to what I like doing most – spying on the ‘hood through my window. What a fantastic opportunity to start a journal, I think to myself.
(the) Corona Journal is a documentation of the outside world through drawing and writing. It is both a personal account of dealing with lockdown and a study of others going through their lives during this unusual time. The area of study is narrowed down to an intersection of two streets and a park visible from my window in Manchester, UK. I draw everything on the spot and as it’s happening.
I recorded the first 60 days of lockdown from 22nd March to 20th May, producing over 250 drawings. (the) Corona Journal will be available for purchase in book form soon - contact me for further details.
